For instance, a 7 year old book 1 student learning "Go Tell Aunt Rhody" will do exercises focusing on bow holds, violin posture, tone production, bow distribution, and articulation. I began teaching private lessons since last 3 years. I encourage everyone to get basic classical training first to have perfect pitch. I encourage my students to enter competition, recitals and also give music exams. I also encourage them to improvise on the idea or on the song. I also encourage them to listen to good music as one also learns many things by listening.. Born in Udine (Italy) on May 24th 1994, I grew up in a musical environment and started taking music lessons at the age of 3, under the instruction of Giorgio Cozzutti. In 2003, keeping on taking theory and solfeggi rudiments, I started playing piano under Cozzutti’s mentorship, but ended up quitting 2 years later. While Joey loves to preform, he is passionate about teaching. He has been teaching since 2011. His teaching career began through the non-profit Bravo Waukegan in their Bravo Buddies Summer Camp. He began as the woodwind instructor and through the years worked to become the Artistic Director, managing all aspects of the month long camp. Joey has also served as the Director of Bands for Sistema Ravinia in Lake County and has worked as a teaching artist with the Chicago Jazz Philharmonic and for the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra.
