I had a class of about 10 or 15 kids and we worked on solfege, theory, and singing. During that time I was also teaching drums in the same school and privately in my house in Normandy, France. As a music teacher, I've been able to work with many different ages and levels in a variety of settings. Some schools I've worked with in the Pittsburgh area include the Carnegie Mellon Preparatory School, Saint Vincent College, Pittsburgh C.A.P.A. 6-12, The Yeshiva School, and the Center for Theater Arts. I have also been consistently teaching private piano in people's homes since I graduated from college. I recently graduated from Temple University with my Bachelor of Music in Clarinet Performance degree, where I studied with members of the Philadelphia Orchestra and gained valuable knowledge about the fundamentals of exceptional clarinet playing, such as tone production, articulation, technique, and musicality. My teaching experience dates back to my college days as I began teaching as an instructor for a local high school marching band, leading their woodwind sectionals and marching clinics. I began teaching full-time in 1992 and temporarily left full-time teaching in 1998 when my daughter was born. It was at this time that I first opened my home up to teaching privately.
