I encourage each student to practice several times a week for as long as they can. I find that some students like to practice in one sitting, whereas others prefer to practice for 10-15 minutes before taking a break and then returning. At the same time I introduce basic chords and try to introduce songs as early as possible to show the practicality of all that is being learned.
