He is just as amazing on bass guitar as he is on double bass. Once the student has progressed from that book then I move on to sight seeing with the student. I believe that if one can read the music and hear it in one’s head that anyone can play it. In addition to literacy I teach my students to establish a daily checklist of long tones and lip flexibility.
