My primary instrument is oboe. I have studied with several successful oboists and earned a master's degree in oboe performance from Bowling Green State University, studying with Dr. Nermis Mieses. While earning my degree I took lessons and participated in masterclasses with some of the most successful oboists in the country. I like to listen to what the student is giving to the music, teach them positively what should be reinforced, and what should be understood in a technical aspects of playing to understand why certain things work and why other things do not.
