At Colorado State University I taught a to wide range of students and styles from freshmen voice majors, choral conducting graduate students, theater majors, voice minors, and even a couple aspiring folk/country singers! I am an Iranian-born musician that pursued a life dedicated to the midwifery of artist-led philanthropic initiatives. Later I narrowed my dedication to the community around me after the pandemic and national police brutality rise in the nation; however, I learned that my true calling is with the organizations behind the scenes striving to provide the youth with access to world-class music education. I began teaching private violin and viola lessons in 2012, and I greatly enjoy working with my students. They range in age from 3 1/2 to adult, and each one has been unique. After beginning lessons with my first student, teaching a semester of music theory, and teaching a summer camp, I became interested in Suzuki methodology and pedagogy. I find that for younger students especially, this method allows for more parent involvement at an age when many parents want to be more involved, and many children equally appreciate this involvement.
