Instruments: Flute
My teaching experience goes back to my high school days when I taught flute, clarinet, and saxophone to beginning students. I "taught" my way through music college at a busy studio in the Philadelphia area, and always had a waiting list - from novice, to intermediate and advanced, to adult students. Upon graduation, I was hired by the college to teach flute, saxophone, and music theory, which I did for over 10 years, in conjunction with a busy performance schedule. Read More

I've played piano since I was six and have loved music for many years. My wish is to spread such love for music and hopefully inspire my students in the future. I will graduate with a Bachelors of Music from the College-Conservatory of Music in the University of Cincinnati in December. I've had many performance opportunities from accompanying choirs of all ages, to singing in mixed ensembles for my peers, to singing in ensembles for nursing homes. Read More
Instruments: Piano
For young beginners I usually start with William Monell 's Piano For The Small Fry, John Thompson's Teaching Little Fingers To Play and John W. Schaum's Piano Course Pre A- The Green Book. Within couple months my little musicians are ready for their first recital. For continuing students I teach in my own Russian style using several books such as Alfred's Basic Piano Library, Alfred's Premier Piano Course, Faber's Adventure series and many other books. At the very beginning level I would start with fundamentals from whatever book I feel would be best for the student depending on their age and knowledge. Beforehand I definitely will need to asses their knowledge so I can do so accordingly. I however will now focus on solely fundamentals and will try to include in songs that the student would like to learn as long as it is in the bounds of reality, the lessons I provide are only part of the equation and the real work is what is put in after the lesson. I strongly encourage a great work ethic. Believe in students to open the doors to the potential that is within them to discover the wonderful healing power of music. Through diligence hard work and focus on pure enjoyment I bring my students back to the keyboard several times over a week allowing them to be fully excited about the prospect of the time they would spend on the piano I feel as though what one puts into something one gets out of it and everything goes, in this big wide world on your permanent record. My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time. I have been consistently teaching students since 2018. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. I've also found that a combination of classical and modern music can go a long way in helping students enjoy the piano and motivate them to practice and continue to learn. Read More
Instruments: Piano Voice
Technique is certainly at the centerpiece of my teaching, for both voice and piano. You are your instrument, and training your body to produce music easily and efficiently is the primary goal. But I by no means think Classical music is the only genre of music a student should study. Both my voice and piano students are pushed to explore their musical boundaries, and learn how to play and sing a large variety of styles, from rock, to pop, jazz, and theatre. Read More
