For beginning students, I start with Randal and Nancy Faber's Piano Adventure books, which includes lesson books, performance books, and theory books as well. Once the students have a grasp on the fundamentals, they will then move on to solo repertoire for their first recital performance. I have been in love with music for as long as I can remember! Growing up under the impression of my father, who was always involved in playing instruments and singing from a young age, you could say that it is in my DNA. From 2003-2011, nearly my entire primary school education, I was trained in music theory, music performance in orchestra and voice, and singing for the stage. Over the years I have accumulated various awards and recognition including Superior ratings in sight reading on double bass, outstanding vocal performance from the Miami Conservatory of Music, and performing alongside the county's best in the Miami Dade Honor's Orchestra. My first experience teaching was during the summer when I began instructing swim lessons for the town pool. I quicly began to seek out a way to teach music before I was in college and built a small studio of beginner cellists in my home town. I also began performing in both classical and other styles during this time, something I continue to do today.
