I began taking private students two years ago with an age range of 14 years old to 62 years old. Since beginning my Master's Degree at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, I am the TA for the Saxophone Department and I currently have 8 students (Freshman and Sophomore Undergraduates). I like to emphasize fundamentals to my students and each week hold them accountable for retaining these fundamental skills such as finger placement and technique, posture and air support and maintaining a steady embouchure. In 2015, I graduated from The Juilliard School with my Bachelor of Music degree, and went on to obtain two Master of Music degrees from The Yale School of Music. Studying at Juilliard and Yale has been a challenging and inspirational experience that provided me with the opportunity to study with experienced and highly motivating professionals, and surround myself with talented, and creative musical colleagues. I am passionate about teaching, and want my students to succeed. I have been playing clarinet since I was 10 years old, and the saxophone for 40 years. I am a graduate of the Hartt School, where I majored in Jazz Studies, with saxophone performance. I have played in bands on cruise ships, performed in Latin, Rock, Jazz and RB Bands. I am currently one of very few people in the world to major in a B.F.A of Finger-style guitar. I graduated from Western Connecticut State University with honors and received a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance.
