Once the students has progressed more, I use Suzuki Method books, and also, choose (introduce) solo pieces for recital performance. For adults, I find out what the student is interested in and find the book that fits their interest (and guide my instruction accordingly to engage them). Also, I can teach fundamental music theory which includes things like scales so you can solo on your guitar in certain keys of the song.
