I hold vocal performance degrees from Pacific Lutheran University and Boston University. Most recently I was a 2022 Laffont District winner and named the 2022 Ted Stevens Young Alaskan Artist recital winner. For younger beginning students, I either start with Strictly Strings or Suzuki, depending on how much prior musical experience the student has. In either case, I ensure that the student has a clear understanding of the violin and what is involved right from the beginning, and place a heavy emphasis on aural learning and ear training so they have a good foundation for their own practice at home and furthering their aural skills. I prepare students for auditions, (I saw some of them winning music competitions), I teach them breathe management, healthy vocal technique, how to efficiently practice and learn songs, stage presence and performance skills. For the ones who aspire in pursuing a professional career in the music field, I teach contemporary harmony, ear training, songwriting and music business, since I also completed a Master in Music Business at the Catholic University of Milan, and worked at major label EMI Music Italy. After graduating from Temple University, in 2017 I performed at the North American Saxophone Alliance Conference at Bridgewater State University in Bridgewater, MA; the New England Saxophone Symposium at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst; as well as a solo and chamber music recital at Smith College in Northampton, MA.
