I usually don't believe in rules. I never really followed the rules as a musician and just played how I felt because of my gift. I make music sound more colorful and bright and I can add any instrument to music and make it sound good. Technically, I would just teach beginners how to play whatever instrument they want to learn. Daryl began playing flute at the age of 11, as part of a middle school band class. His band instructor noticed his innate talent, and began to prepare him for studies at the Music Advancement Program at the Juilliard School. During this two year program, Daryl studied flute with Jayn Rosenfeld, played in chamber ensembles and orchestra, while also studying music history, music theory, and ear training.
