I am an avid music lover, performer, and teacher. I was lucky to study piano from a young age and have the amazing pre-collegiate experiences of appearing on MTV's Made and opening for the likes of McCoy Tyner, Chick Corea, and Bela Fleck. I then received a scholarship to Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA where I studied saxophone performance as well as piano, songwriting, and audio production. I cater my teaching and methods to each individual student and his/her needs and goals. For beginners, I often use Hal Leonard’s Essential Elements. After progressing past that, the Rubank books and Hite etudes work for many students. Starting around 8th grade, I introduce solo repertoire appropriate to their level. I teach Wunderkeys to pre-schoolers ages 4 5. This method gives them a head-start in math as well as patterning. I start beginner piano students (ages 6 and up) with Faber's Piano Adventures. I introduce intermediate students to Alfred's Premier Piano Course as this method starts them on solo repertoire. I find out what adult students are interested in and guide my instruction accordingly to keep them engaged. If my students are not having fun, then I'm not doing my job! Read More

I am so excited to see my students grow in their vocal craft. Using correct placement and vocal methods, I hope for all of my students to develop healthy, fluid, and consistency of sound flow! I promise I am patient, kind, empathetic, and I understand that while getting proper vocal technique is important, there is nothing more important than mental health.
