I am a passionate, empathic and patient teacher who has a life long passion for music and composition. I graduated New England Conservatory in Jazz Piano Performance in 2001. I've had the chance to perform all over the world and at spaces including Lincoln Center and BAM. I've composed and scored feature films including Supergirl which recently appeared on PBS. Since 1993, while studying piano at the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine, I worked as a concertmaster in the Kyiv State Choir Band named Revutsky, and a piano teacher at the School of Arts. From the time I began my studies at the R. Glier Kyiv Municipal Academy of Music in 1989, and through the present time, I continues to lead musical groups which perform my compositions. I began teaching private piano and voice lessons in the Boston area after college, and taught for eight years at after-school programs. I learned my style from my mother, who taught piano out of our home when I was growing up. She would try to make learning the basics fun and would choose pieces to work on that were musically interesting for kids, so that once they mastered the notes, they would enjoy playing it for themselves and for friends.
