With this in mind, I work with the student to find songs or pieces that they want to try and sing. If it is an appropriate level of difficulty, we will work on it straight away. This allows us to get acquainted with the instrument and some terminology that may be a bit foriegn for some students. This also provides an opportunity to learn how to read basic notes and chords which will highly accelerate our learning process.
