For young voice students, I usually start them off with the Giant Book of Childrens Vocal Solos, which has enough songs to last the first few years of learning to sing, and the Full Voice books in order to learn solfedge and some music theory. Once we have done some of the simpler songs that teach fundamentals, we then can add supplemental pieces (classical, folk, appropriate pop). I am a graduate of the Boston z conservatory with a degree in both violin and piano. I have oergormed at thr White House numerous times and in additionition have performed at Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center, Paris, London, Wales, Rome,Moscow, St. Petersburg, the Vatican for the Pope amongst many other places. I began my teaching journey at my local church and later expanded to formal private lessons at home. One of the key challenges I faced was teaching piano to children as young as five years old. However, seeing how quickly they could assimilate music at such an early age has been incredibly rewarding. I am pretty new to teaching, since I started at around August of 2017. I taught for around one year in my senior year of high school, and had to leave for college during summer of 2018. I taught students at any place they were convenient with: sometimes at my studio, sometimes at their homes. I loved teaching when I first started.
