I love sharing what I've learned about singing through my decades as a Professor at Berklee College of Music, Boston. Berklee is the #1 college that teaches Commercial Music (mostly Jazz and Pop). Currently I sing a combination of pop and classical in church as well as teach fitness in Encinitas. I have written books on singing and American diction as well as having recorded with symphonies and jazz bands. Although I began my musical career in the Suzuki method, I intentionally balance the ear-training approach of that method with music theory to create well-rounded musicians. My students will learn how to sight read music, improvize their own melodies, perform in an ensemble (chamber and/or orchestral) and master the art of performance with a solid foundation in music theory. Apart from only taeching, I also love to learn. I love to learn about what inspires people, about what motivates them and what they dream of becoming or acomplishing. No judgements, no rushing. Everybody learns at they're own speed. I set realistic goals and encourage students to find they're own style of expression. Learning music should always be fun. The business grew and started having students coming to my house. It is a passion to see the child achieve and get lead roles in music theater or compete in a piano competition and receive a ribbon.
