My teaching experience started when I became a choir Director in my church in 2000,I love to teach different harmonies for different vocal ranges plus I will teach them with the solfa notations which is the music notes.i remember some of the choristers where tone deaf but I always love to take it slow and steady with them eventually they all got better and I was fulfilled.its always fun and conducive in my classes because I always make it look easy and not stressful.i always tell my students that the only way you can be better is daily practice and dedication. For most students on piano, I typically use the Faber series to learn technique and theory simultaneously. It’s important to be able to gain that knowledge of theory early to help students be more independent. For adults on piano, we would work together to find repertoire to fit their skill level and interest to keep things engaging and relevant. Voice is much more individualized since every instrument is unique. Read More

My passion for music was born from a very young age thanks to my family who all perform music. My training begins at age 9, when I receive a scholarship from the prestigious Julio Bocca institution to do musical comedy training. Every week we received classes in phoniatrics, vocal technique, musical language, etc. Then at 15 I joined Juan Jos Castro Conservatory, and after finishing my singing and piano training, I decided to study modern singing at Tamaba Institute and Estill Voice Training . Everyone learns and masters music at their own pace. Light bulb moments are the moments for which I live! Nothing says, "I am learning," like seeing a student understand a concept or command a new ability for the first time. I set realistic goals and help guide my students towards their goals. I keep my lessons relaxed but full of energy. A huge fan of positive reinforcement, I do my best to make sure that I give a complement or praise before I make any correction. Read More

I've also found that a combination of classical and modern music can go a long way in helping students enjoy the piano and motivate them to practice and continue to learn. If a student isn't having fun in their lessons, then I'm not doing my job! Music is fun! My students are encouraged to enter competitions and recitals, as well as work on composing their own original material, so they can feel good about their accomplishments and stay motivated to learn. I started teaching privately in 2010 as part of a class assignment, and discovered I really enjoy doing it. I also love teaching and conducting choirs and have done that in various capacities for the past several years. I really believe that singing in choir is the best vocal training for young students. Choral singing and solo singing do not have to be opposite worlds! Both can be done healthily, and I like helping students discover this, or even just discover a new hobby. Read More
