I love music and I love teaching! I graduated in 2014 with my Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Utah State University and, in 2018, my Master of Music in Choral Conducting from the University of Kansas. I had the opportunity to be a part of the Chamber Singers at both schools where I was able to perform across Utah as well as Dallas, Kansas City, China and Costa Rica. I approach teaching like nursing a baby ,u care for the baby,u feed the baby when hungry,u cover the babies body from catching cold , you teach the baby how to eat ,u hug the baby when he or she start crying, when she wants to go put her hand in the fire u stop her and tell her in advance what she’s going to experience.when she’s 18 you start to tell her to set goals and always drive hard to achieve them ,you tell her to never give up and be distracted by boys,you’d tell to always keep learning in life because the day you stop learning you start dying. As a teacher and mentor, my priority is to help the student set and work towards their own goals. My teaching expertise is classical and musical theater, and I believe that students can be very successful branching out to different styles from this technical foundation. I started teaching privately in 2010 as part of a class assignment, and discovered I really enjoy doing it. I also love teaching and conducting choirs and have done that in various capacities for the past several years. I really believe that singing in choir is the best vocal training for young students. Choral singing and solo singing do not have to be opposite worlds! Both can be done healthily, and I like helping students discover this, or even just discover a new hobby. Read More
