My passion for singing dates back to when I was a child, singing in choirs and performing in churches. In 2011, I graduated from the Greatbach School of Music at Houghton College, earning a bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance with honors. I have been blessed to perform in several regional theatre productions, as well as two off-Broadway shows. I have brought my love of coaching and teaching to these productions. It's all about the student's interests. I first gauge what styles they are interested in performing, and then implement the proper methods of teaching those styles. Depending on their ability level, I will simultaneously implement necessary techniques while generating the repertoire so that when it comes time for a recital, they will be ready. An accomplished musician, bandleader and music director as well, Jason has toured both nationally and internationally, having played, performed and recorded with the legendary Lou Reed, international recording artist, Rachael Yamagata, national recording artist and stage/screen actor, Val Emmich and others.
