When I moved to California in 2003 I continued teaching in my home studio and at music stores in my area. Slowly I started to expand my expertise into different genres and incorporate piano and guitar in my lessons. This was the  beginning of my formal classical piano training.  In high school I stated learning more about the fundamental concepts of Jazz. While attending Cal State for three years I quickly developed and focused on arrangment and composition for all types of music. For my older students I like to see what gets them excited during the lesson and move forward accordingly. That can be extremely different from Student to Student but I do like to stay involved with the process and positive throughout.
