For beginning students I make sure we know every warm up exercise and stretching exercises for the fingers after explaining the importance of rehearsing properly. We will start getting familiarized with a couple circles until the student fluently knows how to accompany every chord. After we are going to learn scales so they also familiarized with licks and comp. In piano I learned the Russian method and do teach it but I also teach the popular and Jazz method of fake book reading. I use whatever method the student require based on their ability to learn and what there goals are but am fond of the Faber and Faber method. Read More
