My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time 9 years ago and have been consistently teaching student in my studio for the last 2 years. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key point I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for singing. I love sharing my passion for the voice as an instrument, and I feel that a strong foundation of music theory and keyboard skills is a must for vocalists. He then introduced me to bass-baritone Franco Bertacci. He studied with famous operatic singers such as Franco Corelli and Thomas LoMonaco. From there, he began to train singers, eventually teaching me. I began to study his technique, as well as continue my study in college. I enrolled in Westminster Choir College in 2012 and graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Music Degree. My piano students generally start with Faber Piano Adventures. I assign them solo repertoire as they progress through each level in preparation for a recital performance. For the more advanced students, I introduce the fundamentals of playing jazz piano as well. I have my voice students sing through repertoire in the styles of their choice in order to have a better understanding of how their unique voice functions. While working on repertoire, I instill habits of healthy breathing and vocal production. Read More

I like to keep my students motivated. I like to set goals, not only for myself as a teacher, but also for my students. The reason for this is that if the student is working towards a goal they have a motivation to keep moving forward. An example of this could be the student's goal is to attend an audition three times a year, or they want to learn how to sing for a school talent show. Read More
