In 2015, I graduated from the University of Wisconsin Platteville with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Choral and General Music Education. I have taught piano for 14 years, voice for 10 years, and guitar for 3 years. My teaching experience started when I became a choir Director in my church in 2000,I love to teach different harmonies for different vocal ranges plus I will teach them with the solfa notations which is the music notes.i remember some of the choristers where tone deaf but I always love to take it slow and steady with them eventually they all got better and I was fulfilled.its always fun and conducive in my classes because I always make it look easy and not stressful.i always tell my students that the only way you can be better is daily practice and dedication. I approach each student differently because each person has different strengths, needs, and goals. No two lessons are ever taught the same way because each one is tailored to the individual. I am happy to work with students on specific repertoire for auditions or other events, and/or on general literature simply for the love of singing and the joy of growth. I have high expectations in y studio, but I make it clear that students will progress at different speeds and that’s okay. Every week I give a set of warm-ups and exercises to focus on and expect students to practice so we can hone them when we’re together, but I’ll never ask a student to do something they’re not comfortable or familiar with - if ever there’s a question I’m there to answer or demonstrate. Since that time, I has also served as visual Consultant for several high schools in California and in Utah. In 2007, I took a position with the Blue Devils C Drum and Bugle Corps as Visual Concept and Marching Instructor as well as a Brass Hornline Instructor. I also served as Marching and Visual Concept Instructor for the Blue Devils B Drum and Bugle Corps in 2010, helping them win their second DCI World Champion title, the DCI Open Class Visual Performance and General Effect Titles as well as the DCI Fan Network Choice Award.
