I have been teaching since my early years in college. I got really involved when my son was born and was asked to start teaching fundamental music class. The business grew and started having students coming to my house. It is a passion to see the child achieve and get lead roles in music theater or compete in a piano competition and receive a ribbon. To see my students eye light up talking about their experience and see how confident they have grown as a vocalist. Read More

Since we are all individuals with our own stories to tell, our own desires and goals and our own way of developing it is essential to teach a lesson where each student evolves at their own pace with my guidance and encouragement. We set goals and work on their vocal books which can be used for any audition, performance or personal events. Students are eager to learn when they know they are able to choose their material while also knowing I will challenge them with my selections as well. Read More

My teaching style is a balance between a music theory discipline mixed with what the student wants to learn of the instrument. I prefer and enjoy an environment that promotes expression of the student where we can learn from each other. I understand the uniqueness of each of my students and cater to their needs be it attention span, shyness, learning speeds, etc. Music is a discipline and a means for expression and that's what we will teach in my lessons. For children beginners, I usually start with either Faber & Faber Piano Adventure or Hal Leonard's Essential Elements. When the students have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will start introducing solo repertoire to get them ready for their first recital performance. For adult students, I guide my instruction accordingly after finding out what the student is interested in to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. Read More

The methods I use change depending on the student, but generally, I use the following: - Piano: start with Alfreds (suited for age/proficiency), then choose a specialty (improvising, classical, pop, etc) - Guitar: start with Hal Leonard (for note reading), then choose a specialty (jazz, pop, classical, flamenco, etc) - Voice: because of the nature of the human voice, I dont use a book, but rather teach principles and methods to use during practice and performance Regardless of the instrument, I hope to help you improve as much as I can. I began teaching private lessons about four years ago. Originally I used it as a means to practice teaching but I fell in love with the process and have continued ever since. I have taught at various music studios as an in-studio instructor and also as an in-home instructor. It is my goal to make each lesson enjoyable for the students. I like to keep a balance between classical repertoire and technique while allowing the student to branch out into the realm of popular music if they choose. Read More

I started teaching Math professionally when I was 18 years old. After 21 years old, I started to teach at local music school as well as teaching privately at students houses. Some students asked me to teach Japanese, and I have taught Japanese as well. Teaching is my calling and I am good at it. I am just helping people to understand things they do not know or understand. I grew up with a private tutor and my academic was excellent. Read More
