I am a passionate and motivated teacher, who loves working with students of all ages. I am primarily a saxophone player, but love learning new instruments. In 2020, I graduated from UMass Lowell with a Bachelor’s in Music Studies. In 2022, I graduated with a Master’s in Music Education. I enjoy teaching and performing with the New England Youth Wind Ensembles in Lowell, MA. In these ensembles, I provide individual and group lessons to middle and high school students. Read More

Nothing is more rewarding to me that seeing a student make steady progress in their lessons and feel proud of themselves in what they have accomplished! I will tailor my lessons to what the student wants to ultimately take away from the lessons, and then I will help them achieve that goal at a pace that is suitable for them and encourages healthy, sustainable growth towards their desired outcome. After determining what the student wants to achieve musically, I will set weekly, realistic goals for the student to meet and to feel accomplished every week by the end of their lesson! Read More
Instruments: Clarinet Music
My outlook on musical training begins with an exceptional foundation of fundamental skills. I stress the importance of air and finger efficiency, as well as an excellent ear. Developing those skills early in musical development predisposes a student to succeed. When the student shows a clear understanding of such concepts, focus will be shifted toward broader topics such as alternative practicing techniques, reed working, technical knowledge of the clarinet, and a comprehensive study of the standard repertoire, as a supplement to each student's individually chosen repertoire. I started teaching privately over 5 years ago, from my college apartment bedroom, and ever since I have been consistently teaching. Some students come and go, but I have some that have remained over the years. I believe that music is all about inspiration, which then leads to motivation. If I as the teacher can find something that inspires a student to be motivated to improve on their instrument, then I've done my job! Read More

My passion for teaching began in my Junior year of high school in 2011-2012, when I spent 6 months teaching guitar lessons to elementary school students at a local YMCA after-school program. With a class size of approximately 10-15 students, I learned many valuable teaching methods for students of all backgrounds and learning methods. Later that year, I said goodbye to my students to move to Boston and attend Berklee College of Music, however, in summer of 2014, I revived my passion for teaching when I started a saxophone lesson program at Brighton's All 'Bout Christ church. I am well versed in the pop/rock genres and have taught myself through learning popular songs but even more singificantly through composition; I have written over one hundred songs as a singer-songwriter and have much to impart in this field. The skills developed in these areas (improvisation, composition, music theory) are the ones most likely to ensure an autonomically deep and everlasting connection to confident music performance and development. Every student is different and has their own taste in music. I hope to help every student find the same joy in playing music as they do in their listening. This requires two important aspects: development of technique/facility on one's instrument, and a sense of acheiving one's personal musical goals. I try to give every student basic exercises to work on to develop facility on their given instrument, but I tailor those exercises towards music that the student has expressed interest in learning.
