Once a solid foundation is established, we will branch out into music that the student is interested in playing. - Classical Guitar students will use Charles Duncan's "A Modern Approach to Classical Guitar." - Intermediate and Advanced students will learn what they are interested in - rock/pop/country/etc. - Intermediate and Advanced students will also learn music theory and scales, at least at a basic level. Guitar: An exploration of a variety of genres with an emphasis on technique and precision. We will master scales, basic chords, and important chord structures. Lessons will include an introduction to sight-reading and music theory as well as playing by ear, soloing, and songwriting. Bass: Lessons will focus on technique and music theory. Through those songs, I can introduce many technical and musical concepts. It is very important that this is a positive musical experience.
