I have maintained a private studio for 6 years and have taught students from 8-18. After they develop the basic skills, I will move the student onto Robert Cavally's Melodious and Progressive Studies etude book. From there, I may introduce solo repertoire into the curriculum. Once the fundamentals from those books have been understood, I will start the students on repertoire that is appropriate for their level.
