Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. By trying to find out what inspires the student, I can successfully tailor my instruction to their wants and needs. Read More

I am a very patient and understanding person teaching all ages, learning styles/abilities and cultures. What the students love is crucial in order to capture that magic to incorporate into the weekly lesson plans. I also specialize in have following extra areas: Special needs (creative music art), "Princess/Pirate Music" (youngsters), Coach Music as a natural form of alleviating some social emotional problems for some students...in other words making daily stresses seem not so big after a refreshing music class for most, lol! I always adapt my teaching to each student. I do not believe in general systems for everyone. Sometimes my students want to have a repertory as exclusive as possible. Also, as a teacher, I have to reinvent myself in order to maintain always burning and bright the light of the motivation and enthusiasm. This is especially important when you have a student with special needs. Then you have to be even more creative, and stimulating. Read More

I started teaching 9 years ago. I really enjoy, and love seeing the progress with my students. Having fun is key. Learning to play an instrument or singing tends to quickly evolve as the students catches interest. Approaching the lessons from a natural and easy to understand method results into a second nature and a more excelling learning approach. Being able to learn a specific or different genres of music from Classical, Pop, R&B, Jazz, Contemporary Christian, Reggae, Latin etc is also a way to develop the student interest. Read More

I started to teach group music class and private lesson when I was in undergraduate. I always try to bring everything I learned from performance, music education, observing other music teacher and my own experience to every music lesson I gave. Practicing consistently is the most important way to make the lesson experience more pleasant and worthwhile. Other than introducing the music to my students, I also encourage them to perform, because sharing music is also part of the learning process. Read More
