For my younger students I prefer using the Faber method books as well as "A Dozen A Day" for finger technique and dexterity.  For intermediate and older students I introduce repertoire pieces in addition to leveled method books by Alfred. For piano, I typically use Bastien and/ or Hal Leonard. For beginning adults I like to pick some simple songs that resonate and work towards learning them. I believe strongly in the diversity of the student. I realize that not everyone likes books.
