Celebrating 20 years of teaching violin, I’m excited to open my studio to the Musika community. I have extensive experience in the traditions of Joseph Joachim, Jascha Brodsky, Ivan Galamian, and Dorothy DeLay. I graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance studying under renowned violinist Alice Schoenfeld. My studies at USC focused heavily on solo, chamber, and orchestral work -- my performances included live radio, solo engagements, and appearances with leading orchestras. Read More

I am an active member of Music Teachers Association of California (MTAC). My students take the Certificate of Merit (CM) test annually in performance, theory, sight-reading and ear training. Taking the CM test is optional but highly recommended. I also make sure my students have plenty of chances at performing on stage at recitals by organizing my own recitals or joining forces with other MTAC teachers. Having a recital to practice for is a great motivation for students to practice daily and gives the parents the chance to see their children's accomplishments. Read More

I am currently working on my Doctor of Music degree at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, after earning my Master of Music degree from The Juilliard School, BA and BM degrees in Philosophy from Bard College as well as in Viola Performance from Bard Conservatory of Music. My goal is always to take students where they are: beginning, intermediate or advanced and help them discover and develop their own love of music. I do this through introducing music that develops their skill and gives them the satisfaction of playing music that they enjoy. I quickly learned how fulfilling the process was, and was routinely complimented on the patience I exhibited with my beginner students. After taking time off to work on my graduate degree and launch my freelance career, I resumed teaching again after graduation, volunteering as a faculty assistant with a music theory course at a local community college. I graduated from the University of Redlands in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music, and played in the University's orchestra and various chamber groups while studying there.
