For voice I create my own custon lesson plans and use a variety of materials. Students will work on a great variety of repetorie from pop to renaissance. Students are encourgaed to learn to read music, with a great emphasis placed upon practical music theory. I aim to develop intellegent musical artists, foscuing upon intrepretation, critical thinking, historical considerations and creativity. For piano I general use the Faber and Faber method books unless I feel that a particular method would better benefit a specific student. Read More

My teaching experience began in high school, where I mentored the younger musicians and acted as a role model to them. In college, I began teaching private lessons to students of varying ages and abilities, as well as leading advanced ensembles made up of college-level musicians. My teaching experience is widely varied, from teaching in my private studio, to college classes, and music center studios. I have 30 years of experience and a teacher and a lifetime as a musician. I have published music books as well, and have also played bass and keyboards in bands. Part of our final project included giving a sample lesson to a colleague, and I fell in love with helping someone achieve their goal through singing. I have taught in several different settings over the years, but my private studio has been the most satisfying environment. We will also work on some pieces the student will recognize to encourage practicing. We will spend one of the first lessons "practicing" so the student learns how to use their practice time at home. For advanced students, I have a detailed and comprehensive repertoire and method list that we will work off of to make sure the students are developing all the right skills. I am a fun and easy going instructor who loves working with students of all ages. I graduated from London College of Creative Media in 2018 with a degree in performance and production. I also have a certificate in guitar. Performing in Europe was one of my greatest experiences while living overseas. I also sang in the LCCM gospel choir and won the first place at the University Gospel Choir of the Year in 2015. Read More
