I began teaching lessons over 15 years ago, and have been teaching in private and my home studios since that time. I emphasize consistent practice and repetition for all students, and I like to understand what music goals my students have - whether it is for private enjoyment or public performance, I do encourage everyone to push their boundaries and try something new on a regular basis. I work with the needs and goals of the individual student, and incorporates a wide variety of teaching styles into my lessons. I like to create very clear imagery that builds over time. The voice is not something we can see or touch, so I often joke that singing is about learning Jedi mind tricks that help us achieve a healthy technique. I like to incorporate theory/musicianship and some piano into my lessons to create a well rounded understanding of singing as a musician. I'm a passionate musician and instructor that recently graduated from Cedarville University with a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance. I have been playing for 8 years and have put on three collegiate recitals. I have served in the Florida Youth Symphony's Flute Choir, and as the principal in the University Orchestra, Symphonic Band, and Flute Choir at Cedarville. I'm taking a year or two off to bolster my savings before pursuing a graduate degree in performance and going on to get a Ph.D. in musicology. Read More

For my string students, I typically use Hal Leonard's Essential Elements at first, and then I introduce the Suzuki Method for solo repertoire once they have progressed on their instruments. For my vocal students, I find what type of music my student is interested in, and I then recommend a voice book that we will pick repertoire from. For my piano students, I use the Piano Adventures series, which includes the fundamentals as well as solo repertoire. Read More

I am a fun and easy going instructor who loves working with students of all ages. I graduated from London College of Creative Media in 2018 with a degree in performance and production. I also have a certificate in guitar. Performing in Europe was one of my greatest experiences while living overseas.
