I understand that every student is different so I treat them accordingly. I recognize that children will progress at their own pace. I acknowlege accomplishments by helping and giving students the tools that they need to be a successful vocalist and performer. By finding out what kind of music that they like, what are their goals I tailor the lesson according to their wants and needs. Read More

I believe that I'm an understanding and kind teacher, but I will also be strict enough where students will end up slacking off. It's important that students advance at an appropriate pace - I don't want students to end up wasting their money, their time, and my time. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson, and give them tips on how to further improve their playing. Read More

I have performed in The Alion Baltic International Music Festival in Europe. I have lived in New England for four years, and spent a summer in Boston performing. I even had the opportunity to sing in Carnegie Hall and Radio City. I spent two years as a show choir director while in college. I am amazed by how much my students have accomplished in the two years I worked with them. Read More

My teaching style is relaxed, encouraging, informal, and fun. I find that young people tend to pay the most attention when the person relaying the info has more of a big brother/sister relationship with the student, rather than a more rigid authoritarian approach. If they think of me as just another adult trying to make them do things they don't think are fun, then music will never be fun. Read More

I am a very passionate and motivated instructor. Teaching drums and percussion is especially fun for me because its my main instrument. I have been teaching drums for almost ten years and my intensions are to never stop. I have played drums pretty much my whole life and have been fortunate enough to take that around the world. Playing everything from casual gigs to professional musicals and recording sessions. I have toured around the United States and Europe playing music with numerous bands. Read More

For beginning students who are children, I typically start with the Suzuki Method and the Sassmannshaus Early Start books. As they grasp the beginning fundamentals, I incorporate the Alfred "My First Theory Book" series. As the students advance, we begin using Martin's "I Can Read Music," Rick Mooney's "Position Pieces for Cello" and "Fun in Thumb Position." For adults, I also use the Suzuki method, as well as the Rick Mooney books. Read More
