My style involves around having a "recital" piece that we work on at all times, as well as technical exercises and different games to increase music theory, rhythm, sight reading, ear training, etc. We set goals and work to accomplish them in a timely manner. I always take time to make sure you as the student are comprehending what I'm explaining to you. I am fond of using method books such as Hal Leonard's Essential Elements or Bruce Peterson's Standard of Excellence (or, with school children in a band program, whatever their method book may be), but I also like to bring separate handouts or sheets of exercises, drills, and songs that I have created over the years. Hi! My name is Megan, and I have a Master of Music degree in Voice Performance and Choral Conducting from Andrews University. Before that, I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Voice Performance from Southern Adventist University. Performing has been a joy of mine, and I've had the opportunity to perform with some amazing groups, such as Andrews University Singers and Southern Adventist University's I Cantori.
