My philosophy of teaching is to help the student play the music that he or she wants to play and give the student a practical understanding of the guitar and music theory. I teach the skills that enable the student to apply themselves to all forms of music. Each student is an individual and is taught in a manner that inspires his or her personality. Read More

I began assisting teachers during high school for extra credit. It later became my job during Full Sail. I worked extensively with grades K-5 on reading, writing and math skills enrichment. When I graduated I started to see my joy was working with children and helping each individual get to their own "next level" and that is when I began teaching music privately. I encourage my students to enter competitions and recitals of which I help with the prep for and can conduct them there if need be. Read More

I am a fun loving and dedicated music instructor that draws my passion for teaching from a true love for music. I recently graduated from Kennesaw State University with a BA in Management, and I completed the Joel A. Katz Music Entertainment Business Program in 2018. I am a multi-instrumentalist that loves playing several different instruments in several different genres. I also have over 12 years of experience writing and performing music in several bands as a guitarist, vocalist, bassist, pianist, and drummer. Read More

My number one goal is to help my students accomplish their musical dreams, whether that be a classical pianist, a pop singer, the front person for a rock band, write songs or compose music for film, or just sing their favorite song of all time, whatever it takes, I will make sure that we get to the musical destination. It's important that each student progresses at their own pace. I always ask my students for one long term goal and one short term goal so that we can cast vision for where we are headed, map out the challenges along the way, but also celebrate the goals that we accomplish especially in the short term. I started teaching guitar lessons privately when I was 16 years old and, since I tested out of my first year of Music College in Argentina, I was able to receive my first music degree at age 19. Shortly thereafter, I started teaching elementary school music and symphonic band at a private school until I was offered a scholarship to be an exchange student in the U.S., and then offered two scholarships (Tiger Scholar and LMA) to transfer to LSU (Geaux Tigers!) to finish my studies there. I have taught all ages from 4 - 98. I emphasize a well-balanced diet of classical, popular, sacred, and jazz. Students' preferences are always taken into consideration. In addition, I provide students with a solid theoretical foundation. Concentration is upon functional theory that is applicable to where the student is in their music studies. Students are encouraged to explore their creativity whether it be improvisation on 12 bar blues patterns or composing in an ABA form. Read More

Letting in failure creates room for failure. That's not to say mistakes are bad; quite the opposite! Mistakes are part of life, and a big part of learning anything new, especially a new skill. If there's a mistake that can be made in music, I've made it. As upset or frustrated as I may have been at the time, I know these personal failures are part of the process, and I use them as much as I can to instill hope and determination in my students.
