Students must understand that although proper technique and a "nice voice" can get attention, long-term success is greatly determined by how they can create and retain a following, and keep up with a demanding, competitive, and constant-changing industry. I still have that student and many more now and have a very high retention rate and am an upbeat, positive teacher that students enjoy coming back to. I graduated in 2015 from Albion College with degrees in both Vocal Performance and Cell Molecular Biology. I then went on to get my MM from Bowling Green State University in Vocal Performance with an Opera Concentration. I have also spent time studying language and opera in both Italy and Vienna.
