I taught piano,singing and musicianship privately at several schools in Ukraine and Dubai,guiding many students through successful exams and concert performances. I have particular interest in music psychology, helping pupils to overcome performance anxiety and exam nerves. I teach out of several methods, depending on the desires and needs of each individual student. I do make sure all students have a basic understanding of note reading, rhythm, chord building, right hand techniques and various styles. We learn to strum, play arpeggios and improvise...everything the student needs to feel comfortable playing and performing. I structure my lessons so that each student knows exactly what to expect each week. We begin with Warmups, Scales, Technique, Sight-reading in piano and/or voice. Then we move onto the literature, checking posture for both Voice and Piano. We recap, at the end of each lesson, so that any questions may be answered. We set goals for rehearsals, memorization, study requirements. I record vocal exercises, or accompaniment tracks for the student so that they are able to practice more efficiently. Read More

. I love Music! My family has always incorporated music into our lives. Some of my earliest memories are being danced around in my Mom’s arms and listening to her sing. I began formal lessons on the Piano when I was 7 years old. Growing up also I sang in the Church Choirs, played on Hand Bells, and explored the Flute. I spent a formal year each on Trumpet, Drums and Harpsichord and am currently working on learning Zither, Autoharp, Dulcimer, and Soprano & Alto Recorders, and sometimes the guitar (when I have a chance). Without good, solid technique acquired from scales, exercises, balance/hand position, etc., a partnership with the instrument cannot develop. Also, I will help to set up weekly goals for my students, to encourage them to arrange their practice.
