Learning piano should not only be rewarding, it should also be fun! I usually don't believe in rules. I never really followed the rules as a musician and just played how I felt because of my gift. I make music sound more colorful and bright and I can add any instrument to music and make it sound good. Technically, I would just teach beginners how to play whatever instrument they want to learn. For example, if you want to learn how to play the piano, I will sit down with you the first day and we will go over how to play the piano and you will automatically be playing notes and chords after the first session. I started playing when I was 7 and just really haven't stopped. I have always enjoyed playing the piano and also teaching the piano. As a performer I have played in a wide variety of styles and ensembles from giving Solo Recitals to Rock Bands, and playing in Big Bands to Musical Theater Orchestras. After earning my Masters degree in Piano Performance I taught for several years and then began to perform on Cruise ships as the MD of the show band for the next 6.5 years. Read More

I have worked with special needs kids and adults since I graduated, then after a brief period of break due to having my own children, I am back to teaching piano lessons. I have worked in schools and hospitals since my internship before graduating and now teaching in my home studio. I love to work with kids and I believe the younger they are, the better they should experience music early and more formal lessons can be provided as long as they are able to sit, understand how to read and keep rhythm.
