I teach in a fun and customized way. Since I have taught for almost 15 years from Kindergarten to adults, I use a simple language in order to explain the fundamentals of Technic. I'm always encouraging students to play for large audiences, and I create a fun environment in order to build confidence in the students. Always complimenting my lessons with new songs, scales, pieces at the peak of technical skills in order to build a great performer. Read More

Since teaching was easy for me I've shared with students all along as I myself worked on my skills. I've had the joy of studying under great masters and I've modeled my teaching style around them. I'm eclectic when it comes to musical styles for I myself had too many loves. I'm trained in classical and jazz disciplines but have performed/recorded and produced others styles such as rock, pop and latin. Read More

I am a very passionate musician, with a love for passing on the gift of music. I graduated from Shepherd University in 2012 with a BA in Voice Performance. I then went on to complete an MM and GPD in Opera from The Longy School of Music of Bard College. During my degree programs, I was able to study and sing around the world with many leading performers and teachers. I have been teaching for over ten years, and it brings me so much joy to be able to help my students find their musical voice. My focus is on Technique, Warm ups, and Injury Prevention on each instrument. I like to give precise instructions on how to build up discipline and practice regimens. The key to mastering any instrument is consistency. I believe it's important to get to know each students interest and goals in order to create a customized plan. I try to make each lesson, fun and inspirational. Each person learns differently. This is known as "modality" Auditory By ear, or tonal instruction Kinesthetic By feel, learns from physically being shown, a hands-on learner Visual By sight, by fret board position memory and shape. What I like to do in my studio is, set realistic goals for the student. I use "challenges" to help students achieve their goals. And reward them when they achieve them. I like using a lot of games as well to make piano learning fun. So I teach a lot of theory aspects using games with timers, and flash cards, dry erase dices and prizes when goals are meant. Some of my student favorites are the 30 piece challenge, Karate Scale challenge, speedy finger challenge and much more. Read More
